CDAF on all lenses?

I know it keeps being said that it will work with all lenses, but could you test the first 14-54mm (not MK2) to confirm this.  If it does work is it slower than the MK2 version?

Also could you test a Sigma lens?  I would be interested in the 30mm F1.4 which I own.

Hi David,

I'm sorry - I sold my 14-54mk1... and I don't have any Sigma lenses. Hopefully as more of our members get a chance to use the E-P1 they will be able test those lenses and report back. I don't expect there to be any problem.

Cheers

Thank you for the comments Brian.

I hope someone can test this out. My only doubts on EP1 is the AF system with older or all lenses. From what I have tested with the available Raw files on the net, the images out of the camera are amazing. But getting to that image may be hard, as I think most of the photographer forum Raw files are out of focus.

David, I've been playing with the E-P1 intensively since it arrived yesterday morning... are you looking to replace a main DSLR? or adding an E-P1 as a walkaround/landscape/city/social/portrait camera?

The camera is superb - it's just a case of understanding whether it will suit your personal needs.

Cheers

Maybe the Sigma 30/1.4 will work better with the E-P1 than with regular Fourthirds? I mean, the reported problems with variable AF acurracy should not affect CDAF, only PDAF.
